Yeah, so it turns out Luke and Noah are FANTASTIC at running the shop when Dan’s out of town, but less good at updating the website. Sooooooo, we’re still here, we’re alive, we’re going as strong as ever, we’ve got great books coming in every day, we’ve got plenty of tee-shirts to show off your beautiful winter body, and as always, loads of great comics. So come on in, and say hi.
In the ‘real news’ category, we’re gearing up for kilGOREFEST ’10, the SECOND anniversary of Kilgore Books and Comics. We are actually working to FLY IN a WELL KNOWN independent cartoonist to join the cabal of Denver great, though details are still being worked out, so we’re not sayin’ who it is.
We’re also working to provide kilGOREFESTEES with the best possible free live music Denver has to offer (again, still working out the details) and we certainly will have free champagne on hand, assuming you’re over 21.
The fest will be a one-day only event, will be free, will be super fun, and you should come down, just as soon as we figure out whether it’s happening May 29 or June 5. Keep both days open though, just in case.
In other news, Dan gets back into Denver this weekend, and will be working his first shifts back during the week, so pop in, say hello, and take advantage of his kindness before he gets all surly again.
